EXITUS ESCAPE ROOMS TERMS AND CONDITIONS

The following terms and conditions outline your contract with Exitus Escape Rooms (“we”, “us”, “the company” and “our”). Please read these carefully as they govern the relationship between us, and set out our respective rights and obligations. These Conditions refer to “you” and “your” as the first named person on the booking and include all persons on whose behalf a booking is made or any other person to whom a booking is added or transferred.


Upon making a booking, the first named person on the booking (“the Lead Booker”) agrees on behalf of all persons detailed on the booking that: -

a. He/she has read these terms and conditions and has the authority to and does agree to be bound by them.

b. He/she consents to our use of information in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

c. He/she is over 16 years of age and resident in the United Kingdom and when placing an order for services with age restrictions declares that he/she and all members of the party are of the appropriate age to purchase those services.

d. All information submitted is true and accurate


1. GENERAL

 

1.1. Nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to affect your statutory rights.


1.2. Our escape rooms are designed for groups of 2-8 people per room.


1.3 The trademarks and logos displayed on the website are the property of the company. You are not permitted to use these without a written consent of the company and you accept that any such use may constitute an infringement of the relevant proprietor’s rights.


1.4. These terms and conditions and any contract concluded incorporating these terms and conditions shall be governed by British law and all disputes shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the British courts.


1.5. The website may contain hyperlinks to third party websites. The operation of those websites is out of the company’s control and you may use them at your own risk. The company accepts no liability for any damage arising out of any use of those websites.


1.6. The company collects and stores your personal details without disclosing it to any 3rd party and is dedicated to ensure that the privacy of your personal information is protected in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and in accordance with GDPR.


1.7. No recordings can be taken inside the room. That includes (without limitation) the use of mobile phones, recording devices (video and/or audio) and cameras. The use of such a device in the room is not permitted at any time.


1.8 The company expects visitors not to disclose any details of the escape rooms directly or indirectly to the public.


1.9. The company may contact you from time to time with offers and promotions via email or phone.


1.10. The company is entitled to charge the guests for any damage which is intentional and/or caused by misuse of items. The Lead Booker will be responsible for their group and takes full responsibility for said damages and will be charged accordingly.


1.11. While you are on our premises, you must ensure to conform to our codes and regulations, adopt proper standards of behaviour, and cooperate with our employees.


1.12 The company will not tolerate any kind of bullying or harassment or aggressive behaviour towards its employees. Any such behaviour may result in refusal of entry, game termination or removal from our site. Under such a scenario, no compensation, refund (in full or part) or re-booking of the game will be made by Exitus Escape Rooms.


 

2. BOOKINGS AT EXITUS ESCAPE ROOMS

If you are booking on behalf of a group, please ensure that you have the consent of all members of the party before making a booking and that all members of your party have read and agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. The person who signs the booking form or completes the booking online will be the “lead booker” for the purposes of the booking. The lead booker must be 16 years of age or over at the time of booking. The lead booker is responsible for payment of the total booking price, which may include any subsequent cancellation or amendment charges that may be payable. The lead booker must confirm that all the other members of the party agree to be bound by these terms and conditions and provide accurate and full information to the remainder of the group in relation to the booking, including any subsequent changes

 

2.1 Only person(s) who are at least 16 years of age are permitted to book an escape room

 

2.2 Any person(s) who are under the age of 13 taking part in the event must be accompanied by an adult.

 

2.3 In the event of any person(s) under the age of 16 taking part in the escape rooms, the Lead booker confirms that they shall accept responsibility for the welfare of all those members of their group who are aged under 16.

2.4 This is a live event game, and once the booking is confirmed, we can only accept any cancellations or give any refunds with a notice period of 48 hours. However, if given more than 1 hours’ notice the company may reschedule the event but is not obligated to. Any rescheduling done must be confirmed by an email or in writing from the company and the Lead Booker.

 

2.5 Any purchase on the website is only valid when processed by the company. You shall receive a confirmation once your booking is processed.

 

2.6 If you wish to transfer your booking(s) into someone else’s name, you must contact the company by either email or telephone at least two hours prior to the start of your booking. Your request may not be honoured and can be denied.


2.7 Bookings may not be transferred or resold for commercial purposes or at a premium. If a booking is transferred or resold in breach of this condition, the bearer of the booking or the person claiming the right to attend the event will be refused admission


2.8. You are entirely responsible for entering your details correctly on the Online Booking Form.


2.9. You are responsible for your own timekeeping. If you do not arrive on time we reserve the right to cancel your booking. You must arrive on the event’s stated start time to allow plenty of time for the event to start promptly. A booking becomes a no-show and entry will be declined if the team is 30 minutes late or more. In such a situation the money is not refundable and the booking is not changeable.


 

3. SPECIAL REQUESTS

Any special requests must be communicated to us at the time of booking. Although we will endeavour to meet any special requests, we regret we cannot promise that any requests will be complied with unless we have specifically confirmed this in writing. Failure to meet any special request will not be a breach of contract on our part unless the request has been specifically confirmed. We do not accept bookings that are conditional upon any special request being met.

4. ACCESS, DISABILITIES, MEDICAL ISSUES

4.1. Exitus Escape Rooms is located within upper floor offices. Access is via a standard staircase and is unsuitable for anyone who is unable to use stairs.

4.2. If you or any member of your party has any medical problem or disability which may affect the booking arrangements of that person, you must inform us in writing before booking so we can advise as to the suitability of the chosen booking. We may require you to produce a doctor’s certificate certifying that you are fit to participate in the booking. Acting reasonably, if we are unable to properly accommodate the needs of the person(s) concerned, we will not confirm your booking or if you did not give us full details at the time of booking, we will cancel it and impose applicable cancellation charges when we become aware of these details.


 

5. PRICE AND PAYMENT

5.1. The price of the escape rooms is stated on the website under the booking section.


5.2. The price is set according to number of people within the same booking (maximum 8 persons per room).


5.3. Bookings can be made online or by telephone.


5.4. Full payment is required at the time of booking.


5.5. In case fewer people attend the event than were booked for, the price difference will be provided in the form of a gift voucher.


5.6. If more people attend than were booked for (up to 8 persons a room) the price difference can be settled upon arrival.

7. SAFETY

 

7.1. Each attendee will be instructed before their event by an employee of the company. After being briefed on the rules of the game, each guest will participate in the event at their own risk. The company is not liable for any damages caused by not following the rules described before the event and signalled in the escape room.


7.2. Fire exits signs are clearly marked.


7.3. People who are intoxicated with alcohol or drugs will not be admitted and their game stated as no-show. We consider anyone who is unable to hold a coherent conversation as intoxicated.


7.4. To be admitted you must confirm the full name of the Lead Booker and might be asked to confirm phone number and email address the booking confirmation was sent to.

 

7.5. By booking our escape rooms, you (“The Lead Booker”) and all members of your group agree to be bound by the Terms and Conditions of sale specified herein by Exitus Escape Rooms (“Us”). Exitus Escape Rooms or its employees shall not be liable for any death, personal injury, loss or damage caused while in the venue, location or places related to Exitus Escape Rooms (“Site”).

 

 

8. PHOTOS

 

8.1. Photos of each team will be taken at the end of the game if desired.


8.2. Photos of teams will be stored on our server.


8.3. Photos may be uploaded to social media sites without names at the group’s discretion.


 

9. WEBSITE USE AND SECURITY

 

9.1. The website https://www.exitusescaperooms.co.uk, hereinafter referred to as “the website” is owned and operated by Exitus Escape Rooms the company. The company holds the right to amend or vary the terms and conditions below including any of the contents of this website from time to time at its sole discretion without prior notice.


9.2 The terms and conditions apply to the use of the website by any visitor and should be read carefully before any use.


9.3. The company does its best to supply you with the most up to date and accurate information on the website.


9.4. The website is for your personal and non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer or sell any information obtained from this website without the written consent of the company.


9.5. You are not permitted to link to, or use all, or any part of the website for any purpose which is fraudulent, unlawful, defamatory, harmful, obscene or objectionable.


9.6. You accept that the Internet is not fully secure. The company will take all appropriate steps to protect your information.


9.7. The company shall not be liable to any person for any direct or indirect, consequential or incidental damages, including (without limitation) lost profits or revenues, loss of opportunity, costs of replacement goods or services, loss or damage to data or business interruption, arising out of any use of the website.
